24th Nov 2020 | Local News

Some elderly care home residents do not have family or friends. Richmond charity Embracing Age is creating Christmas gift boxes for such residents so that they feel valued and loved by their community at this difficult time.

If you would like to make a difference to someone without family and friends this festive season, please consider donating a small gift.

Suggested items include toiletries, puzzle books, colouring books and crayons, small games (such as dominoes, cards), arts and craft items.

You can leave gifts in the marked crate outside the ETNA Community Centre in Rosslyn Road on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between today (Tuesday, November 24) and December 17. Gifts can be left between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

Alternatively, you can donate to their online appeal and Embracing Age will buy gifts on your behalf.

Embracing Age will create and distribute the gift boxes to care home residents in Richmond.

Your donations will make a real difference to brightening a care home resident's Christmas at this challenging time.

Thank you.

Visit their website for further information, including collection points for donated gifts.
