The Drinkable Rivers campaigners Li An Phoa and Maarten van der Schaaf passed through Kingston and Richmond on their walk from the source of the River Thames.

The Green Party's candidate for the South West London constituency, which covers the boroughs of Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow, is Richmond Councillor Andree Frieze.

Kew Bridge is no longer safe shared space for cyclists and pedestrians after recent works to lanes and the pavement, the Green Party has said.
The decision to remove the northbound shared cycle lane on Kew Bridge and the lack of connection between Cycleway 9 in Brentford as well as new segregated cycle lanes on Kew Road has been raised with London's Walking and Cycling Commissioner.
Only 30 per cent of London's local authority-collected waste is recycled or composted, according to official figures.
This is the worst rate in all of England and in the borough of Hounslow the rate is only 31%, in Kingston 49% and in Richmond 42%.
