Since indoor venues have been allowed to reopen their doors we have seen a host of events going on throughout Richmond and across the country.

You can find all sorts of events, from concerts to cooking classes to sporting events, on our newly revamped What’s On section.

Our top pick for this week is a free event for families over at Vine Road Recreation Ground on Sunday.

Friends of Barnes Common is in the third year of its project to upgrade the Vine Road Recreation Ground.

The group says the rec is within a catchment area that includes several areas of deprivation and a higher than average number of children and young people.

The project was recently backed by the Mayor of London as part of the Mayor of London’s resilience fund.

On Sunday at the rec there will be the opportunity to try out ramps on a skateboard, get tips from qualified skating instructors, practice skills, and learn new tricks.

There will be refreshments available at a pop-up cafe.

Where: Vine Road Recreation Ground, Vine Road, Barnes SW13 0NE
When: 13.06.21
From: 1 - 4pm
