Looking to get more involved in your community? Visit the Richmond Volunteer Fair
The annual Richmond Volunteer Fair is back at Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College (RHACC) on Wednesday 21 May, from 2pm - 6pm.
Once again, this free-to-join event offers the chance to informally meet a fantastic range of local organisations and learn about their work, their services, their volunteer roles, and how you can get involved in supporting them.
With 50+ groups under one roof, get a taste of some of the incredible charities on your doorstep who could be looking for just the time and skills you can give. To name a few, typically you'll find groups which include those working in health and wellbeing, nature/environment, arts, heritage, children and young people, neighbourhood and community, advice, and specialist support.
Whether you're on an initial fact-finding mission, actively looking for a new and rewarding experience, seeking a new challenge, or simply interested in giving back to a good cause, they would love to meet you. And if you're worried about the time commitment, you might be surprised at the options and flexibility possible.
The event is organised by Richmond CVS, who run the Richmond Volunteer Service. The service helps to promote local volunteer opportunities and volunteer recruitment in the borough of Richmond upon Thames.
It's free to attend but advance booking is requested. Sign up for volunteering ideas and information, and be inspired by an amazing community that you could be part of.
