About the Role:We are currently seeking an experienced and versatile Electrical Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Facilities Management team at the University of Kingston. This is a mobile role, focused on planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair services across a variety of building systems within a university campus environment.
You will play a key part in maintaining the university's facilities to a high standard, ensuring a safe and fully operational environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and associated equipment.
Conduct fault finding, testing, and repair work on electrical circuits, lighting, distribution boards, emergency lighting, and related systems.
Support with basic mechanical and fabric works as required.
Respond to emergency breakdowns during normal working hours and as part of an on-call rota.
Work in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and FM best practices.
Complete all necessary documentation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
Liaise effectively with the client, university staff, and other stakeholders on site.
City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent (essential).
17th or 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification (essential).
Proven experience in a similar FM or building services environment (education, healthcare, or commercial sectors preferred).
Additional skills in basic plumbing, HVAC, or fabric maintenance (desirable).
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to participate in an on-call rota and work occasional overtime as needed.
Competitive base salary of 42,000.
Earning potential of up to 48,000 with call-out duties and overtime.
