Brilliant young trombonist Laura Impallomeni comes to Off the Rails at All Bar One on Sunday 8 June. Laura is a British-Italian jazz musician, composer and bandleader. She brings the trombone to the fore, with an exciting collection of her original contemporary jazz compositions, and a highly accomplished band.
Her music encapsulates her broad range of influences from hints of hard bop to African jazz.
Laura has performed and toured with various renowned artists such as First Aid Kit, Cosmo Sheldrake, The Moulettes, Giffords Circus, Janet Kay and Ken Boothe. She is also the trombonist for Rootsgarden Dub Sound System, The Voodoo Love Orchestra and Barnacles. She also works for London music charity 'Play for Progress' as a therapeutic music teacher/workshop leader with young asylum seekers and refugees.
At Off the Rails, Laura is joined by Anna Chai on tenor saxophone, Ben Grose on drums, Akil Henry on keyboards and Ezekiel Ajie on bass.
All Bar One is right opposite Richmond station at 1 Kew Road, Richmond TW9 2NQ. Doors open at 7pm, with music from 8pm to 10pm.
