An exciting 18-month contract has become available within finance. The company is looking to appoint a capable Finance Manager to take ownership of the accounting function. You'll be joining a supportive, collaborative finance team and playing a key role in ensuring the smooth running of financial operations, working closely with the Financial Controller and wider leadership team.Your new roleAs Finance Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day finance activities for a specific division, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and timely delivery of key financial outputs. You'll manage monthly sales processes, prepare customer invoice calculations, and maintain essential accounting schedules.You'll also oversee balance sheet reconciliations, review team journals, and finalise monthly management accounts alongside another Finance Manager.In addition, you will mentor and support the Financial Accountant within your division, lead year-end audit and tax queries, deliver quarterly reporting to head office and work cross-functionally with the sales and procurement teams on stock-related matters. This is a hands-on role where you'll be encouraged to take ownership, identify improvements, and implement stronger controls to enhance business efficiency.What you'll need to succeed

You will support individuals and families affected by major trauma, helping them navigate the early stages of recovery, access rehabilitation and secure appropriate compensation.You will manage your own caseload while also working closely with senior colleagues on more complex or high-value matters. You will receive ongoing support, hands-on mentoring and opportunities to grow your specialist knowledge in an environment that values empathy just as much as legal skill.What you'll need to succeedYou will be a UK-qualified Solicitor with experience in personal injury or serious injury matters, likely in the region of 2-4 years' PQE, though applications from those above or below this range are equally welcome. You should have experience managing your own caseload and be comfortable working in a dynamic and sometimes time-sensitive environment.Success in this team comes from combining technical competence with genuine empathy. You will need to communicate with clients and families clearly and sensitively, remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly when priorities shift.
