When will Zizzi Italian restaurants reopen in Richmond and Twickenham?

30th Jul 2020 | Local News

Zizzi restaurants in both Richmond and Twickenham are yet to reopen.

The chain, like many others, has been badly affected by the Covid-19 shutdown.

Parent company The Azzurri Group has said it will shut 75 Zizzi and Ask Italian restaurants across the UK.

In recent days the Richmond and Twickenham sections on the Zizzi website have disappeared.

A "page not found" notice appears with the following pop-up message:

"Friends of Zizzi – we are firing up our ovens & opening our doors for eat in and takeaway in some of our restaurants.

"Other Zizzis (including this one) are taking a little longer to open as we're phasing our reopening plan but we hope to be back with you very soon.

"When we do reopen in full you can still expect good food, great times and big pizza, with a few extra tweaks to ensure the safety of you and our teams.

"Watch this space…we can't wait to reunite with you over a Rustica."

Today (Thursday, July 30) brought some positive news for fans of Italian cuisine.

Because both Carluccio's and Pizza Express in Richmond reopened.

We have keeping tabs on the high street and it has been a pleasure to tell you about the following reopenings.
