Punters may have been looking forward to their favourite pubs reopening, but their enthusiasm is outdone by one general manager.

James Doyle, of Lass O'Richmond, could not contain his excitement in a video tour of his Queen's Road pub.

He implores the viewer to inspect every area, including the new beer garden and to pay it a visit and dine from the new menu.

Lass O'Richmond is one of the town's six Young's pubs, and they all reopened on Monday, July 20.

"It's here, 118 days… Oh my goodness, I'm so excited to be back. Come on, come on," he says in the video which you can watch above.

"Look, we've got a new garden.

"Come on inside. We've got all of these lovely social distancing measures so we're going to keep you so safe.

"We've been painting, we've got a new menu. The quiz is back in August!

"The bar's back, the beers are cold. Everything's new.

"We've got hand sanitising stations everywhere.

"And finally, through our one-way system, we've got lovely new areas out the front.

"Come and have a look.

"All we miss now is you. Come on, let's have it, let's have it."
