Carluccio's in Richmond is reopening.

The Italian restaurant, opposite Richmond Station, made an excitable announcement of its plans on its website.

"We've been waiting in anticipation for this moment since we closed our doors 4 months ago, but we are back!

"Although we have made some important changes to make it safer to vist, we've still got the same love of great, freshly cooked food and welcoming teams.

"All we need now is you, our lovely guests."

The restaurant is reopening again on Thursday, July 30 - and bookings are being taken online.

This is how Carluccio's Richmond bills itself.

Just a stone's throw from the station, Carluccio's Richmond provides an ideal spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sit up at the bar and enjoy one of our exciting cocktails, lunch al fresco on our outdoor terrace or a cosy dinner in our inviting restaurant. Enjoy our exciting new menu, comfortable seating, beautiful décor and of course, excellent customer service.

Roll back to 1999 and Carluccio's had just opened – everyone was talking about the designer interiors, the all-day Italian menu, great coffee and fantastic shop. Twenty years on, at the Richmond restaurant, every detail has been re-imagined – from the beautiful interiors through to the new menu, crockery and deli.

The dramatic changes take inspiration from the late Antonio Carluccio's first restaurant and deli, the acclaimed Neal Street in Covent Garden, and are inspired by his food heritage and today's dining trends.

Modern and stylish, the new look features cosy corners, open spaces and vibrant colours. The devil is in the detail – check out the insta-worthy foliage installation, eye-catching art and colourful ceramics. The terrace is a suntrap and made for people-watching whilst the bar is the perfect pitstop for an espresso, a strong after-work negroni or an ice cold beer.

Standout interiors deserve standout food. From antipasto to small plates through to freshly made pasta, salads and main plates, every new dish on the Richmond menu is mindful of Antonio Carluccio's motto of MOF MOF (minimum of fuss, maximum of flavour).

Carluccio's is not the only Richmond business to open again.

Fellow Italian restaurant Pizza Express in Red Lion Street is reopening on the same day. And so is the Princess Alice Hospice charity shop in Hill Street.

The Vineyard Community Centre has restarted its Works of Love sessions and its setting out plans to reopen its cafe, shop and drop-in services.
