22 new cases, no deaths, fewer tests again - latest Covid-19 update
Richmond Council leader Gareth Roberts has given his latest Friday address on Covid-19 to the borough.
Thankfully there have been no new deaths directly linked to the virus in the past week.
The number of tests carried out, however, has fallen from 1,909 to 1,590.
In the video Mr Roberts tells people to go straight home after pubs and bars close, and that they must shut at 10pm.
A total of 756 residents of Richmond borough have tested positive for coronavirus since March.
Mr Roberts provided figures for the past seven days when there have been:
- 22 new cases
- No new deaths
- 1,590 people tested
- a positive return rate on those tests of 1.1%.
- Washing our hands wherever possible
- Wearing a face mask or covering on public transport, in shops, supermarkets or other closed public spaces
- Maintaining social distance of two metres
- Maintaining the rule of six – no more than six people gathering indoors or outdoors.
If we follow the rules, we can try to keep the spread of the virus as low as possible in Richmond. Thank you.
