The panto at Richmond Theatre will not be held this year, but organisers are already looking ahead and aiming to put on a stellar show in 2021.

Social distancing demands due to the pandemic has forced the theatre to suspend its shows until at least November 27.

"We can confirm our 2020 Pantomime is moving to Christmas 2021/22," the theatre said on Twitter.

"While this is sad news, we are delighted that the magnificent production will return next year!

"We will be contacting all customers directly and appreciate your patience as we manage all orders and enquiries."

The new dates for Cindarella at Richmond Theatre are Saturday, December 4 2021 until Sunday, June 2 2022.

The theatre is promising that it'll be the fairy godmother of all pantos.
