Card payment failure at Tesco in Richmond

By The Editor

30th Jul 2020 | Local News

Card payments are not being accepted at Tesco Metro in Richmond due to a systems failure.

Shoppers are being told by an employee at the supermarket entrance that they must pay in cash.

There is a cash machine immediately to the left of the entrance.

The self-service tills have been closed as a result, and fewer shoppers are being allowed into the store at any one time as a result.

We will update this story when we've heard back from Tesco and hope to be able to tell you soon that all systems are up and running again.
