16th Sep 2024 - 17th Dec 2024
UNTIL Tuesday 17th December
Starting 26 September 2024, local charity Room for Work offers a free 12-lesson career development course for Richmond residents. If you're a mature person struggling to get back into work -- or you know you're under-employed and want a better job -- this is the programme for you. Course participants learn current job search techniques with an emphasis on networking, developing social media skills, improving CVs, and practising competency-based interviews. All delivered in a friendly local environment.
The programme is for mature people over 40 with work experience ranging from administrative to managerial and professional roles. Those who are new to the UK job market with good basic English and computer skills are also welcome to join. You'll be with like-minded people in the same situation, using the power of community to build your motivation and confidence in finding a job. The Room for Work format includes tailored, one-to-one mentoring provided by the Course Leader plus follow-up support with the Business in the Community coaching programme.
The course is delivered in Richmond Town Centre at Duke Street, TW9 1DH. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 10am-12.30pm. The course runs from September 26 – December 17th. For more info and to register visit www.roomforwork.org
