'Water supplies back to normal' as repairs continue on Richmond hill after pipe burst

Emergency repair work continues today (Wednesday, 22 July) on Richmond Hill, where a 14-inch high-pressure water main burst in the early hours of Sunday morning (20 July).
The incident occurred outside Glenmore House and led to the closure of Richmond Hill, as Thames Water engineers were initially unable to shut off the broken main due to a valve failure.
Thames Water has now confirmed that the damaged pipe has been fixed and water supplies in the area should have returned to normal.

Thames Water said: "We've fixed the broken pipe at Richmond Hill Court, TW10, and water supplies should be back to normal.
"Unfortunately, some water entered the gas network. Cadent Gas are working hard to resolve this with us assisting them.
