All-important dates telling Richmond residents when to put the bins out this festive season have been released.

Waste and recycling collections times have been amended over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

Richmond Council said: "Our waste and recycling teams will be working very hard to ensure Christmas and New Years' collections are completed throughout the borough.

"But please be mindful that due to heavy workloads some collection crews may be undertaking collections later than normal.

"If you do need to report a missed collection this can be done online."

Normal day collections will take place between December 21 and 24.

Collections due to happen on Friday, December 25 will instead take place on Sunday, December 27.

From December 28-30, collections will be one day later.

On New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, collections will be two days later.

The revised collection dates are subject to change, the council said.

There will be no change for those receiving commercial waste and recycling collection services.

Normal domestic collection schedules will resume on Monday, January 11.
