There will be no changes to the schedule of waste and recycling collections in Richmond following the summer bank holiday on Monday, 31 August.

The Council will continue to collect Richmond's residential waste on its usual collection day.

Residents can check their collection day using the My Richmond tool, or download the free My Richmond app.

Townmead Road Reuse and Recycling Centre will remain open, and residents will need to book a slot in advance.

Slots will be limited over the bank holiday weekend, so it is advised to book early.

You can recycle unwanted small electrical items at one of the council's 30 community banks or through your weekly kerbside collections.

You can also now drop off certain items in good condition at Townmead Road's reuse point. Donated items will be redistributed back into the community by local groups.

Clothes can be taken to The Fixery for repairs. You can also find your nearest Traid textile bank or request a free Traid doorstep collection.

If you have any household or garden DIY plans over the bank holiday, you can rent over 30 useful items, such as a pressure washer, carpet cleaner, drills and hedge trimmers, instead of buying new at the council's Library of Things in Twickenham.
