Two trustees sought to join Royal Parks charity

By The Editor 1st Feb 2021

Do you love Richmond's Royal Parks? Want to play a key part in their future?

The charity Royal Parks is looking to appoint two new trustees to its board of governors.

Applications from candidates for whom this is their first non-executive board appointment are encouraged.

Royal Parks' board meets between four and six times a year. There are normally around four Audit and Risk Committee meetings and at least one board strategy day each year. Trustees are unpaid but their expenses will be covered.

The charity is responsible for eight listed Royal Parks: Richmond, Bushy, Greenwich, Hyde, St James's, Kensington Gardens, The Regent's Park & Primrose Hill and The Green Park.

Together these cover more than 5,000 acres of some of the finest parkland in London.

The parks are visited 77 million times a year and host national ceremonial events such as the Changing of the Queen's Life Guard.

How to apply

The deadline to apply is February 8.

Appointments will be made by Oliver Dowden, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
