Traffic at a standstill for second day in Richmond

By The Editor 4th Oct 2020

Drivers are stuck in severe traffic this Sunday morning as roads around Richmond face a second day of near gridlock.

An enormous mobile crane is being used this weekend to remove another crane in the Lidl construction site on Richmond Road.

The work means only one lane of vehicles can pass at a time and two-way traffic signals are in place.

As of 11am today (Sunday, October 4) traffic was at a standstill around Richmond Road, St Margarets Road and over Richmond Bridge.

It was the same picture yesterday.

Lidl plans to open its new supermarket later this autumn.
