Surfacing with a fresh catch, a seal showed its face in the Thames this weekend.

Paddle board group Active360Richmond posted a video of the joyous creature on its Instagram page.

"Who doesn't love a bit of fish on a Friday evening," they wrote.

"We saw this guy up at Radnor House on Friday night.

"He must have come through Richmond Lock on the incoming tide.

"Even seals like to get out of the city at the weekend."

It's not the first time they've spotted a seal in the area.

In April 2019, one swam right up to a paddleboarder while out on the water.
