Borough of Richmond named one of the best places to retire in 2024:

The Telegraph named the borough of Richmond upon Thames one of the best places in the UK to retire in 2024.

Exeter in Devon came in as the number one spot, followed by Merton and then Richmond in place number three.

Concerns raised over 'light' improvements to public transport in outer London since ULEZ expansion:

Improvements to public transport in outer London have been described as only 'light' since the ULEZ expansion, with concerns raised over the reliability of bus services.

Councillors in Richmond raised concerns about public transport in the borough at a meeting on January 9.

ULEZ has covered the whole of the Richmond Borough since August 29 but councillors have raised concerns that there have not been enough improvements to public transport.

Richmond Council could increase fly-tipping fines by £600 in crackdown to clean up streets:

Fines for fly-tipping in Richmond could increase by £600 under new plans to clean up its streets.

Richmond Council has unveiled the proposals after slamming fly-tipping as a nuisance which makes an area look "ugly and rundown".

In a new report, council officers put forward proposals to increase the maximum penalty for fly-tipping offences from £400 to £1,000 – slashed to £500 if paid in 10 days.

Revamp of pool dubbed South West London's 'best-kept secret' could finally begin this year:

Work could finally begin later this year on a major revamp of a popular swimming pool which has been dubbed South West London's 'best-kept secret'.

The planned refurbishment and extension of the building at Hampton Pool in Bushy Park aims to improve facilities and protect its future 'for generations to come'.

Hampton Pool Trust told the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) it is planning to begin the first phase of the works in September this year to avoid disruption during summer.

The pool is set to remain open during the works.
