A yellow ice warning is in place for Richmond and the south of England from 3pm today (8 January) until 3am tomorrow (9 January).

The warning says: "Ice and small amounts of snow could lead to slippery surfaces in a few places."

People should expect:

  • Perhaps some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
  • Some injuries from slips and falls on icy or snowy surfaces

There is also some snow forecasted for 3 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm today!

The weather will be warming up later this week.

See more of the weather forecast and find out how you can stay safe in the ice here.
