Richmond RUN-FEST returns with two days of running this weekend for its 14th year of racing.

The marathon, half-marathon and 10K take place over two days on the 12 and 13 September at Kew Gardens, bringing 7,000 runners, a music band, food, drinks and families together.

Organisers said this year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with races for everyone and a "vibrant" after-party.

Adult races for the two days are sold out but entries remain open for the Family and Kids Mile.

The Richmond Marathon kicks off at 8am on Saturday, 13 September, starting at Kew Gardens and taking runners along the towpath to Kingston and Hampton Court Palace, before heading back through Richmond Riverside into Old Deer Park.

The Richmond Half Marathon will follow, starting at 9:30am and the 10k starts at 8:30am on 13 September.

"The energy along the racecourse will be buzzing as participants tackle their own personal challenges and strive for their best times, finishing in Old Deer Park with a fantastic festival featuring a live band, music, food and bar - not to be missed," said organisers.

After the running on 13 September, at midday the celebration continues with a free community music after-party in Old Deer Park.
