A Richmond restaurant was celebrating this week after retaining its Michlin star.

The Dysart Petersham is one of two restaurants in the borough with a star, one of the highest accolades in the food industry.

Kew's The Glasshouse also has a star.

The Dysart said: "So proud of the whole team for retaining our Michelin Guide star.

"It's not been quite the year any of us had hoped for since winning the star in October 2019, but yesterday's award gives us so much energy, enthusiasm and pride as we move forward.

"Huge congratulations to all the other teams winning awards yesterday, what a feeling it is!"

Chatora on Kew Road was another Richmond restaurant included in the annual guide.

They said: "We are so pleased to be featured in Michelin Guide 2021! ðŸ¾

"We thank our customers for your continuous support, we wouldn't have done it without you. 🙠It's almost been a year since we opened Chatora, so it's a lovely birthday present for us!"

And Petersham Nurseries earned a place in the guide's new category for sustainable gastronomy.
