By Nub News Reporter 2nd Mar 2026
Met Police have outlined two of the most serious incidents reported in South Richmond over the weekend.
In an update issued yesterday (Sunday 1 March), the Met Police South Richmond Safer Neighbourhoods team said officers are investigating an assault and a separate incident of indecent exposure.
Met Police Sergeant Richard Wright confirmed there was an altercation between two men near Red Lion Street, which resulted in one of them being assaulted with a brick.
"No crime scene was put in place and the victim did not sustain any serious injuries," Sgt Wright said.
In a separate incident, a man was reportedly seen performing a sexual act inside his vehicle on Kew Road.
Police have obtained the vehicle's registration number and enquiries are ongoing to identify and deal with the suspect.
Sgt Wright also confirmed he has a meeting scheduled for 9 March with Royal Parks and a member of the management board at the Metropolitan Police Service to discuss funding for additional patrols in Richmond Park.
He added that funding remains in place for Operation Martello patrols throughout the week, while the Safer Spaces initiative will also continue.
