A Richmond landlord has changed the locks at a town centre restaurant.

Turkish Bite at Westminster House on Kew Road has been forced to forfeit its lease after the landlords re-entered the premises.

A notice in the window of the former Turkish restaurant says this happened on 14 August, with the kebab house given a week to collect its possessions.

It said: "To Baden Prop Ltd, the tenant of all the premises known as and situated at Unit 7, Westminster House, Kew Road, Richmond, TW9 2ND.

"Pursuant to Clause 38.1(a) of your lease dated 22nd September 2021.

"We, as authorised agents of the landlord, have this day re-entered the premises demised by the said lease, and the said lease is thereby determined absolutely.

"Proceedings, civil and/or criminal, will be taken against any party who has entered or attempts to enter the premises without our prior consent in writing."

The notice also said if the possessions were not collected by 28 August they would be sold by the bailiffs.
