Kew Gardens was forced to close early yesterday and had to cancel yesterday evening's Christmas at Kew due to the bad weather.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) they said: "We're sad to announce that around 6 trees were lost at Kew in Storm Henk.

"This number could have been much higher if it wasn't for our incredible Tree Gang who maintain our 14,000 trees.

They added: "These fallen trees and branches will be mulched and added back to our Gardens."
