Kew Gardens have announced that they have lost six trees in damage from Storm Henk.
The storm battered the UK yesterday (2 January), leading to wide disruption to transport.
Kew Gardens was forced to close early yesterday and had to cancel yesterday evening's Christmas at Kew due to the bad weather.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) they said: "We're sad to announce that around 6 trees were lost at Kew in Storm Henk.
"This number could have been much higher if it wasn't for our incredible Tree Gang who maintain our 14,000 trees.
They added: "These fallen trees and branches will be mulched and added back to our Gardens."
