We've just had a remarkable full moon over Richmond, and water levels on the Thames are high as a result.

A flood alert is in place for the Tidal Thames riverside from Putney Bridge to Teddington Weir.

The Environment Agency said: "River levels are expected to be high as a result of spring tides.

"The forecast high tide at Richmond is anticipated to be 4.60 m at 4.45pm on 02/01/21.

"Flooding of low-lying roads and footpaths is expected, which may exist for one to two hours either side of high tide. Flooding of properties is not expected.

"We anticipate the flows to remain high for the next five days."
