From Netflix to Amazon: Major TV and film productions filmed in Richmond borough

What do Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV all have in common? They have all filmed or are planning to film major productions right here in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
Here's a look at what's already been filmed locally and what viewers can spot on screen.
The Night Manager series 2 – BBC
The first episode of series 2 of The Night Manager features Richmond Riverside, with surveillance cameras lining the towpath, secret agents stationed on Richmond Bridge, a covert meeting at Tide Tables café, and a surveillance van parked in Whittaker Avenue.

The Perfect Gift - Waitrose's Christmas advert 2025
Richmond also played a starring role in Waitrose's Christmas advert for 2025, The Perfect Gift.
The festive rom-com starred Joe Wilkinson as Phil alongside Keira Knightley appearing as herself. Night shoots took place in private homes in Ham and at the New Inn pub on Ham Common.
The advert went on to become one of the most watched Christmas commercials ever.

Goodbye June - Netflix
Netflix's family drama Goodbye June, starring and directed by Kate Winslet, filmed extensively across the borough.
Locations include St Richard Reynolds Catholic School in Twickenham, Elleray Hall in Teddington, which doubled as a yoga studio, as well as St Mary's University, Richmond Green and several driving scenes around Twickenham.

Malice – Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime thriller Malice, starring David Duchovny, Carice van Houten and Jack Whitehall, was released in November 2025 after filming in Richmond for three months between February and April 2024.

A Thousand Blows Series 2 – Disney+ / hulu
A Thousand Blows returned for a second series in January on Disney+ and Hulu. Starring and executive produced by Stephen Graham and written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, the drama about London's criminal boxing underworld was filmed around Mortlake and other parts of the borough in 2023.
