Event of the Week: Pick up a bargain at this second-hand fundraising book sale

Since indoor venues have been allowed to reopen their doors we have seen a host of events going on throughout Richmond and across the country.

Of course, yet again some events have been postponed and cancelled due to the government's announcement last week that it will further delay the easing of lockdown.

But you can still find all sorts of Covid-safe events going on, from concerts to cooking classes to sporting events, on our newly revamped What's On section.

Our top pick for this week is a second-hand book sale fundraiser organised by the Rotary Club of Kew Gardens.

This weekend is a dream for Richmond bookworms as not only do we have the book sale, but there's the Barnes Children's Literature Festival too!

The Rotary Club's event is taking place in a front garden at the junction of 62 Mortlake Road and Beechwood Avenue, Kew TW9 4AT.

It's running from 10am until 4pm on Saturday (June 26) and is cash only.

Don't worry if it's raining, the event will be under gazebos!

100% of the sales made will go towards the Rotary Club and Halletts Estate Agents has agreed to match all donations on the

day (up to £200).

Find out more about the book sale here.
