'Things may be a little different' - Richmond bar reopens
One Kew Road has reopened.
The bar and restaurant is found on a road of the same name opposite Richmond Station.
The company said on its website: "Things may be a little different for a while, so please bear with us.
"To help create a safe environment for everyone, we're enhancing our high standards of hygiene even further.
"There will also be some changes to our normal style of service ensuring everyone is safe but you can rest assured that everyone will still get a special One Kew Road welcome!"
What's new at One Kew Road?
The bar has been given a deep clean and the team is carrying out "thorough cleaning routines" throughout each day.
Contactless payments are being encouraged.
There have also been changes to opening times and the menu. "We're delighted to be open again but as we come out of lockdown and our suppliers gear themselves back up for service, some ingredients and some dishes on our menus may not be available," the bar said.
Social distancing in bars and restaurants
Yesterday (Wednesday, September 9) the Prime Minister placed further onus on bars and restaurants to keep a record of visitors as the government aims to bolster its Test and Trace programme.
Six will also be the maximum number of people who can get together from Monday, September 14 and groups must not mingle to create a larger group, Boris Johnson said.
"Hospitality venues can still hold more than six in total," Mr Johnson said.
"Within those venues, however, there must not be groups larger than six and groups must not mix socially and form larger groups."
He added: "Premises and venues where people meet socially will be legally required to request the contact details of a member of every party, record and retain these details for 21 days and provide them to NHS Test and Trace without delay where required."
