One of Richmond's most famous comedy venues is back.

The Bearcat Club at the Turks Head pub is a major draw for the country's best comedians and it is making a comeback this month with some stellar line-ups.

The first night was held last weekend and events will be held every Saturday from 8pm.

Richmond comedian Milton Jones called the Bearcat "one of the oldest and best run clubs on the comedy circuit".

The pub posted on Instagram: "Thank you to everyone who came to the return of Bearcat Comedy.

"A fantastic, socially distanced evening full of fun and laughs.

"We are returning every Saturday evening moving forward but booking is essential due to reduced capacity."

Who's performing in September

This Saturday's session at the Bearcat has already sold out.

But tickets are still available for the following two weekends.

Saturday, September 19 sees Ian Stone, John Ryan, Otiz Cannelloni and Tania Edwards playing.

There is a superb line-up for September 26 with Iranian comic Omid Djalili set to take the stage, as well as Ben Norris, Leo Kearse and Paul Pirie.

Tickets cost £20 per person, including membership and you can buy them on the Turks Head website.
