Many people come to Richmond Park to enjoy its wonderful trees and a leading conservation charity has produced two new videos all about them.

Friends of Richmond Park explores their history, care and management in a short filmed titled The Remarkable Trees of Richmond Park.

In the 15-minute film, which you can watch above, the charity's new patron and BBC presenter Clare Balding unearths fascinating information when she interviews Richmond Park manager Simon Richards and tree officer Gillian Jonusas.

There are predominantly four trees in Richmond Park. Oak trees make up half of the 130,000 trees in the park. Other common varieties are beech, sweet chestnut and horse chestnut.

The film follows a webinar on trees hosted by Friends of Richmond Park last month, which hundreds of people tuned into.

The charity has also released a two-minute video showing how it works to protect Richmond Park's beautiful veteran trees.

The fun time-lapse film shows craftsmen constructing beautiful chestnut fencing in extra quick time, and all set Chopin's Minute Waltz.
