New native trees planted to spruce up Richmond Park car park

By The Editor   7th Feb 2021

Nearly two dozen trees have been planted in Richmond Park.

They were planted in the car park at the Sheen entrance to the park.

Royal Parks, the charity which manages the park, explained what new species have arrived.

"The whole Richmond Park estates team have been busy, installing tree crates and planting 22 native trees in Sheen car park - including Tilia cordadta (small-leafed lime), Sorbus aucuparia (mountain ash), Ulmus "New Horizon" (a resistant elm) and Acer campestre (field maple)," the charity said.
