Hampton and Richmond have extended the loan deals of Joe Walsh and Matteo Salamon from Queens Park Rangers.

The two goalkeepers have both made a strong start to their spells with Hampton since joining on loan from Loftus Road a month ago.

Walsh has played three times in National League South for the Beavers, including keeping a clean sheet at Bulpit Lane against Hungerford Town, as well as playing between the sticks against Dartford and Welling United.

Salamon has been Gary McCann's go to goalkeeper for the cup competitions during his time at the Rocket Hospitality Beveree Stadium, keeping a clean sheet on his debut against Bognor Regis Town in the FA Cup and also starting the Third Qualifying Round tie against Paulton Rovers.

Speaking to club media, McCann said of retaining his loan 'keepers: "Both goalkeepers have been excellent and contributed in a big way since their arrivals.

"Both have been a credit to their parent club, QPR, and I'm really pleased to have extended both loans."

Walsh has had a great start to life in the sixth tier but despite being just 20-years-old he has already made his Football League debut whilst he was with Gillingham against Ipswich Town in October 2020.

It was his progression with the Gills that saw him signed for an undisclosed fee by QPR in January 2021.

Salamon was born in Brazil before moving to Camden at a young age and joined QPR aged 11.

The 18-year-old began the season with Uxbridge FC and started two games during his month-long stay at Honeycroft playing in the Isthmian League South Central before making the move to Hampton in September.
