Empty Richmond unit to be turned into 'award winning' store
By Cesar Medina 30th Oct 2026
An award winning gelato chain is bringing a store to Richmond town centre.
Oddono's Gelati Italiani Limited made two applications for new signs and changes to the shopfront of the empty unit at 54 Hill Street.
The chain is an established London gelateria trading from a number of branches including Chiswick and South Kensington.
The proposals include a new four-panel blue aluminium bi-folding shopfront, with the existing structural opening remaining unchanged.
A new blue fascia sign will feature white lettering with concealed LED lighting to create a halo effect.
The existing projecting sign and bracket will be retained, with a new blue and white panel fitted.
A retractable blue awning will also be installed, featuring the white wording "Award Winning Fresh Artisan Gelato".
The business logo will additionally be applied to the inside of the door glazing.
The premises were let to the applicant by a lease dated 25 August 2026 for a contractual term of ten years.
