Richmond Gymnastics Association (RGA) is celebrating a remarkable achievement after its Senior Men's Acrobatic Group secured bronze for Great Britain at The World Games 2025.

Louis Alexander (20), Freddie Turner (20), Rex Booth (19) and Samuel Ditchburn (19) delivered three high-difficulty routines at the Dong'an Lake Sports Park Gymnasium, impressing both judges and spectators with their precision, skill, and choreography.

Salme Naylor, RGA's Director of Coaching, commented: "This is a truly historic moment for Richmond Gymnastics.

"To achieve a World Games medal in our anniversary year is the perfect celebration of decades of dedication, passion and community spirit. We couldn't be prouder!"

The World Games showcases the best sports and disciplines not featured in the Olympic Games, making the podium finish a significant milestone for British acrobatics and the RGA.

This is only the second time an RGA acrobatic partnership has medalled at The World Games, following success in 2017.

The timing is particularly special, coinciding with the club's 65th anniversary year.

Alexander said: "We came here to show the best of British acrobatics, and we're leaving with a medal we'll never forget."

Turner added: "We just wanted to go out there and deliver the best routines we possibly could. We focused on one move at a time and it all came together when it mattered most."

Booth reflected: "It's a dream come true, honestly. It was a hard road… but we just kept going."

Ditchburn explained: "The journey here has been incredible. We're happy!"

Head of Acrobatics at RGA, Melanie Sanders, added: "They competed with heart, skill and composure against the best in the world.

"To bring home bronze is a huge achievement and I know they've inspired a new generation of young gymnasts back home."
