With Easter just around the corner, families across the Richmond borough are on the lookout for ways to keep their kids entertained. 

From scenic egg hunts and creative workshops to succulent Sunday roasts and relaxing springtime walks, there's plenty locally to do. 

Here's our guide to the best Easter activities in Richmond this year, with both free and affordable options for families to enjoy together and get creative this spring. 

1.The Great Richmond Easter Trail 

Where: Starts at VisitRichmond Information Centre at Richmond Station 

When: From the 28 March to 12 April.

Price: Free 

Embark on a free family adventure around Richmond in search of hidden Easter characters. 

For any curious explorers this trail allows you to crack secret codes and claim your free chocolate treat at the end.

Each explorer will also be entered into a prize draw and one lucky winner will receive two tickets to the spring wine tasting experience at Petersham Nurseries and for the little adventurer an adorable jellycat bunny.

2. Easter Woodland Trail at Strawberry Hill House 

Where: Strawberry Hill House, Twickenham 

When: From the 28th March - 12th April 2026 (10am-4pm) 

Price: £2 per trail 

Step into woodland fun for this Easter trail. Families are encouraged to venture on this trail through the grounds of Strawberry Hill. 

Adventurers can follow the clues and signs and see the beauty of spring through nature and the gardens.

Each treasure hunter receives an easter cupcake from the garden cafe at the end of their exploration.

3. Egg hunt at Ham House and Garden 

Where: Ham House and Garden, Ham 

When: From the 28th March to 12th April 

Price: £3.50 per trail 

This National Trust trail inspired by the British Civil Wars, offers a slight twist on a traditional egg hunt. 

The whole family is welcome to explore the beautiful gardens of Ham House, with each child receiving a themed activity sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg.

4. Easter crafts at the castle 

Where: Strawberry Hill House and Garden, Twickenham 

When: 29th March, 2nd April and 4th April (12pm and 2.30pm)

Price: £15 per child/ £8 per adult 

A hands-on creative workshop for all the family making Easter decorations of the spring season, including making eggs and nests. 

Designed for ages 5-11, this relaxed session is perfect for families looking to slow down and get creative together.

5. Pins and Needles children's sewing Workshop
