Saturday, July 1 - Meet Eko - The Out of the Deep Blue Sea Giant
Discover Twickenham BID present an outdoor family spectacle featuring a 13-foot-tall Sea Giant Puppet and a dancer.
The event, which is part of the Arts & Ideas Festival, offers a moving tale about our earth's climate emergency told through dance, movement and masterful puppeteering.
Autin Dance Theatre's new outdoor show Out of the Deep Blue is a tale told in two parts – an interactive walkabout of the Sea Giant Eko and a physical theatre duet with little Violet.
The show dives into the themes of environmental sustainability and the biodiversity crisis featuring a 13-foot-tall Puppet operated by 5 world-class puppeteers and contemporary dancers.
With children and family audiences in mind, this magical story is about the power of empathy and collaboration between these 2 beings that speaks to the world at large.
Show times 11:30am, 2pm & 4:30pm with promenade around the streets approximately half an hour before each performance.

This classic story of Robin Hood will introduce all the well-loved characters such as Little John and Friar Tuck, and feature tales of camaraderie, good against evil, swashbuckling action, and riotous comedy. While good King Richard is away fighting the crusades, his friend Robert Fitzooth, under the assumed name of Robin Hood, resolves to relieve corrupt landowners of their wealth.

Ham House
Until July 2 – Cabinet Secrets
Explore the elaborate designs and beautiful artisanship of Ham House and Garden's collection of decorative cabinets.
Around 15 of the collection's prized cabinets and artefacts including writing desks, a harpsichord and strongboxes will be opened during the exhibition.
They are normally kept closed to protect the pristine interiors from the light, and to avoid excessive wear on the hinges and locks.

Twickenham Family Quiz Trail
Did you know that Rod Stewart was discovered in Twickenham or that Britain's first ever speed camera, was activated on Twickenham Bridge?
Local residents and visitors are being encouraged to discover more about Twickenham with a new Quiz Trail.
The trail is designed to inspire people to get out and about and explore the town, learn about its history and have some fun along the way.
The trail is an ideal way to keep the kids entertained over the school holiday or indeed any time of the year.
Unlike seasonal festivals and events, the streets of our town are open year-round and free to access, the history is all around us, it's helped shape Twickenham town centre and had a far-reaching impact on politics, arts and music culture for example.

Ted Lasso Tour runs Saturday and Sunday at 3.30pm; Thursday at 6.30pm

Eel Pie Island Museum – Richmond Road
To mark the 35th anniversary of Black History Month in the UK, the museum is hosting a celebration of Black culture and shines a light on some of the many inspiring people of African and Afro-Caribbean heritage in Richmond, who have made the borough a richer, more vibrant place.
From jazz to reggae, this exploration of Black musicians is not simply Black history but Richmond's history. By learning about our culturally diverse past and traditionally unheard voices, we can look forward to the next exciting chapter together.
