"Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again…" Moving Stories Dance Company is thrilled to bring Daphne's du Maurier's Gothic masterpiece to life in this brand new dance production. The dynamic company of 8 dancers returns to the OSO after two sell out performances of their debut production 'Party, Party, Party'. It's the 1930s and the timid heroine of 'Rebecca' is working as a lady's companion. Whilst travelling on the French Riviera she find's herself in a whirlwind romance. The next moment she is married to the handsome widower, Maxim de Winter. Maxim whisks her away to a very new life in Manderley - his remote Cornish estate. The phantom of his dead wife, the beautiful Rebecca, lives on through the foreboding housekeeper, Mrs Danvers. The secrets and lies of the past are dramatically revealed by Moving Stories Company, through masterly storytelling, evocative dance and narration. With contemporary and classical choreography by West End artist – Lucy Potter the engaging production features an eclectic score of jazz-age music. "A fantastic company with engaging dancers showcasing great technique and personality" LIFT OFF DANCE FESTIVAL
