After some bitterly cold spells, temperatures are bouncing back in Richmond.

It got so chilly that the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol was activated across London on Monday and emergency shelters were opened to protect rough sleepers.

Thankfully, we are now in store for a run of warmer weather.

It will reach 11C today (Friday, December 11) with the possibility of rain until 1pm and some sunshine in the afternoon.

Saturday is set to be a cloudy day, with highs of 9C and dropping to 1C at night.

Temperatures will rise again on Sunday, reaching 12C by 7pm but there is a high chance of rain. Overnight, though, it will only drop to 10C.

Monday will be even warmer, with temperatures climbing to 13C, with spells of sunshine and some rain throughout the day.

Enjoy your weekend.
