Travellers moved on from Richmond Green

Richmond Council have confirmed that the travellers who set up camp on Richmond Green have now been moved on.

A group of travellers set up camp on Richmond Green on Wednesday evening.

The camp consisted of over 20 caravans and was set up around the outskirts of the green.

In a statements Richmond Council said: ""We can confirm the travellers left Richmond Green last night (Thursday) and Council officers have been on site from early this morning to inspect for damage. The group left some rubbish, which Council contractors have disposed of appropriately and we have removed the abandoned caravan."
