Richmond police officers have arrested three suspects following a series of robberies in Richmond town centre on the evening of Thursday, 17 July.

At around 7:55pm officers were called to multiple locations in the area following reports that individuals had been threatened and had their mobile phones stolen.

Officers responded and located the suspects, who attempted to flee the scene.

With the assistance of a Met Police dog unit, all three suspects were detained, including one who was found hiding beneath a parked car.

The Met Police said: "The stolen property was returned to the victims, and the three arrested suspects remain in custody this morning as the investigation progresses."
