Richmond's WHSmith store is set to be rebranded into a TG Jones, as part of a £76m deal announced earlier this year.

Applicant, WHSmith High Street Ltd, has submitted an application to change WHSmith Richmond, George Street, into TG Jones.

Rebrand plans come after WHSmith announced the sale of its 233-year-old high street businesses to Modella Capital this March, the firm which owns Hobbycraft.

All remaining WHSmith high street stores will have the WHSmith name rebranded to TG Jones, including the Upper Richmond road branch.

All signs across the Richmond town centre building will be replaced with 'like-for-like' replacements to TG Jones.

WHSmith will keep its more lucrative stores at airports, railway stations and hospitals.
