Tesco to hire 11,000 employees over Christmas - find a job near us

Supermarket giant Tesco is hiring 11,000 temporary staff members to help over the Christmas period.

Tesco's Extra Stores and Superstores will be hiring employees to help with stocking, deliveries and general activities.

A spokesperson said: "With customers at the heart of everything we do, the festive season is especially important to us ensuring all our customers have the best Christmas shopping experience.

"Festive roles are a great way to be part of the Tesco team.

"Local, convenient with a variety of flexible contracts available, becoming a Tesco festive colleague gives you the opportunity to balance your job and your lifestyle."

Vacancies nearby

Here are a few of the roles available in nearby stores.

There is a customer assistant role at Tesco Extra near Twickenham Stadium, but it is part-time and over Friday and Saturday nights.

In Teddington, there are three customer assistant vacancies and a shift leader position.

And in West Molesey, there are no less than 16 customer assistant vacancies with varying weekly hours.

Tesco has said they will encourage temporary workers to apply for full-time roles once the Christmas period is over.
