There were tense scenes in Richmond Park yesterday between an offender in breach of his prison release terms and police.

Officers eventually arrested the man after he refused to leave Isabella Plantation.

It happened on Tuesday (October 20).

Royal Parks Police posted: "A male was arrested after refusing to leave the #IsabellaPlantation in #RichmondPark yesterday.

"Further checks in custody at Kingston Police Stn showed he was wanted on a recall back to prison for breaching his licence conditions."
