1. Hedda - Orange Tree Theatre

About: London, 1948. The war is over, India is newly independent, and Hedda Gabler has retired: early, elegantly, and with secrets. Once a Hollywood star, now the wife of rising British film director George Tesman, Hedda lives in Chelsea, hiding behind drawn curtains. But the past is beginning to stir.

Her husband is asking questions. An old colleague has written a screenplay that cuts too close to the truth. And there's a powerful producer in town: and he never takes no for an answer.

2. Halloween Storytime with Author Fiona Barker - The Alligator's Mouth

About: Join The Alligator's Mouth this Halloween for an interactive storytime with brilliant local author Fiona Barker!

This event will take place during Half Term. Fiona will be reading from two new books, I Definitely Don't Like the Dark AND The Big Monster Bake, perfect for little ones ages 3-5.

When: Friday, 31 October at 10:30am.

3. Scream Up! Night of the 'Evils'! - Hampton Kempton Waterworks Railway

About: Dare to ride the Ghostly Steam Train as it creeps through the darkness!

Join Hampton Kempton for a scary evening of witches, warlocks, and 'evils' We need brave little souls to dress up as their favourite spooky characters to help protect the train from the evils that lurk in the shadows... and grown-ups, they need your help too! Costumes aren't just for kids!

When: 1 and 2 November from 5pm to 8pm.

4. BCA Jumbo Sale

About: This cherished Barnes event returns and will once again offer a cornucopia of wonderful pre-owned ladies' clothes, jewellery, bric-a-brac, toys, household items, books, electrical gadgets and much more.
