Kew Green Prep School says its close partnership with sister senior school Kew House School is giving pupils access to opportunities rarely available at prep level.

Located just a short walk across the bridge, Kew House allows Kew Green pupils to benefit from specialist facilities, senior-school teaching spaces and sixth form role models, extending learning well beyond the prep school site.

Over the past academic year, the partnership has expanded across a range of subjects.

In sport, pupils have begun using professional facilities at Ealing Trailfinders, with tournaments and fixtures already under way.

The lower school plans to move more games sessions there in future, giving children regular exposure to a high-level sporting environment.

In art and design technology, Year 5 pupils have been visiting Kew House weekly to work on a clock-making project using fully equipped workshops and specialist tools.

The school says this hands-on experience brings learning to life in ways not possible in a primary-only setting.

From the spring term, pupils will also take part in language and food technology workshops, combining cultural learning with practical cooking and conversational activities led by senior school staff.

The partnership extends into the performing arts, with pupils accessing the Kew House theatre for enrichment trips and performances.

Year 6 pupils are set to perform there in the spring term, while a new dance club runs at Pier House dance studio with support from Kew House's drama and dance team.

In science, pupils will use Kew House's laboratories for practical experiments requiring specialist equipment, designed to encourage curiosity and confidence in scientific thinking.

The collaboration also includes sixth form involvement, with older students supporting reading, sports fixtures and enrichment activities, acting as mentors and role models for younger pupils.

Kew Green Prep says the partnership is a key factor that sets it apart from other local prep schools, offering an ongoing and integrated relationship rather than one-off experiences.

The school also confirmed that a limited number of bursary places are currently available, aimed at widening access to these opportunities for local families.
