Paramedics and firefighters have been called to a collision in Twickenham.

A passer-by told us: "Big crash outside Twickenham Station.

"Looks like someone had to be cut out by the fire brigade."

The AA live traffic service said: "Road blocked due to accident on A310 London Road both ways from A305 York Street to Twickenham Station.

"Detour in operation - bus routes 110, 267, 281, 290 are diverted."

A second resident said the roof of one of the cars was cut off. Firefighters left the scene at about 2pm (Sunday, August 23), he added.

Dmitry Yasser posted two photos of the scene on Twitter and wrote: "A car crash in #Twickenham on the London Road at the bridge.

"Two small cars collided in 20mph zone.

"Police, ambulance and fire engines are on site. The fire crew had to cut the car."

We have contacted the ambulance and fire services for more information.
