Royal Parks expects storm damage as Bella sweeps country

Winds will pick up overnight in Richmond as Storm Bella makes her way across the country.

They are forecast to peak at 16mph in Richmond around 1am.

The Royal Parks charity, which manages Richmond and Bushy parks, has said it will delay the opening of certain facilities on Sunday (December 27).

"Due to weather warnings for tonight and into tomorrow morning, we will be delaying the opening of certain park facilities in order to assess any potential storm damage.

"Please take care when visiting the parks during this time."

Sunday's weather forecast

The wind will slow down on Sunday morning, remaining at 7-8mph during the day and 3-4mph in the evening.

It is set to be 7C with rain showers until 1pm when sunshine is forecast for the rest of the day.
